This policy explains what FourcardsAI ("the Service") collects and how it is used.
We aim to collect as little as possible.
1. What we collect
Account: if you sign in with Apple, we receive a stable user
identifier and, if you allow it, your email address. We do not receive your Apple
password.
Conversations: your chats are stored locally in your browser.
If you are signed in, they are also synced to our storage so you can pick up across
sessions — encrypted at rest.
Operational data: basic request metadata (e.g. IP-derived rate-limit
counters and usage counts) needed to run the Service and prevent abuse.
2. How we use it
We use this data to provide the Service, sync your conversations, enforce fair usage
limits, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal data.
3. AI processing
Your messages are sent to our model infrastructure to generate responses. Do not
submit information you would not want processed by an automated system.
4. Storage & security
Synced conversations are encrypted at rest. No method of transmission or storage is
100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
5. Your choices
You can clear your conversation history from within the app at any time.
You can export your conversation from within the app.
You can sign out to end your session.
To request deletion of account data, email us at the address below.
6. Data retention
We keep account and synced-conversation data for as long as your account is active or
as needed to operate the Service. Operational counters expire automatically.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your
jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated"
date above.
This is a starting template that reflects how the beta currently works.
Please have it reviewed for your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR/CCPA) before public launch.
